Find Balance

Restore Natural Healing

People come to acupuncture for many reasons. Some are in acute or chronic suffering, while some are maintaining previously achieved results, and others are augmenting their health proactively.

How do we become unbalanced? We become unbalanced when forces within ourselves or in our lives grow unchecked and overpower others. These can include stress from work, lifestyle choices, and dietary decisions. If this goes on indefinitely, these imbalances can lead to dysfunction and disease of all kinds.

When we become unbalanced in one way or another, it is reflected in the channels of our bodies, the fluid-filled spaces that simultaneously separate and unite all our tissues and organs. These channels are not mere messengers, but participants in our physiology.

What does it mean to “find balance”? Balance occurs when equilibrium is restored; when we choose to live consciously and deliberately to keep any force, internal or external, from overpowering the others in our lives. This begins to return our channels to a state of healthy flow.

When the channels are open and flowing, we expand those fluidic spaces, and the added space can give us the opportunity to heal, it can grant us internal perspective on our lives and circumstances, and it can bring a sense of ease, peace, and joy.

Acupuncture is a way to teach the channels of the body to be open and clear, while qigong is a way one can perform that work from within. When combined, there can be profound changes in our mental, emotional, physical, physiological, and even spiritual health.

Testimonials

“I fractured my patella and after I saw doctors for a necessary surgery David helped the pain, inflammation, and local numbness subside quickly and has helped my knee tolerate the forced flexion I’ve had to do post-surgery. I truly couldn’t imagine where I’d be without him being on my treatment team. He is one of the most thorough, sensitive, and attentive practitioners I’ve met and his method of channel reading allows him to access roots of issues rather than getting tangled in webs of symptoms. He is honest and trustworthy, and I couldn’t recommend his work more highly.”
— Lauren H.
“I had been dealing with an over-active bladder for two years. The worry and aggravation made me miserable. Then, something extraordinary happened! David treated my condition using acupuncture, and, amazingly, the problem disappeared. Frankly, it feels like a miracle occurred. I am so grateful to David for his knowledge, expertise and uncommon compassion. He has contributed, hugely, to the quality of my life. Thank you, David.”
— Teresa D.
“David has the magic touch. I went to David because of my tennis elbow. He was so thoughtful, so thorough, and it only took a few appointments to take care of my issue. We are now working on a chronic pain issue that I’ve been dealing with for the last three years, and with just a few sessions I’m already off my medication. I don’t know what I would do without him.”
— Michael A.
“I’ve experienced consistent great results from getting treatments from David. Treating me while I was ill with the flu, having numbness in my hand and shoulder, with tuina to help me be in good shape for martial art events, David has always been able to treat the problems accurately year after year, that’s why I keep going back to him. He’s my go-to for information, treatment, and topical herbs.”
